I have seen commercials for free phone service for those in dire need, and decided to dig around and see what I could find. So far I have discovered one option, www.safelinkwireless.com which is available on the East Coast for certain. All you do is go to the website, enter your zip code and see if your area qualifies. I looked up and entered quite a few zip codes to see where I could find coverage. New York, Fla, S.C. and GA. were a few that I found to have service. I entered 90210 for fun and didn’t find coverage there, but hey, it IS Beverly Hills. 🙂 I also entered a Hawaii zip with no luck. If you need phone service and are in participating government programs take advantage of this offer!
